When loved ones go to better places,
Leaving us to grieve,
As we feel the pain and sorrow,
So we must believe.
That God is looking after them,
They’ve found eternal light,
They’re looking down, protecting us,
Around us, day and night.
Sending us their love and warmth,
And strength to carry on,
Their memory will live with us
Although they may be gone.
The only comfort to be sought,
To make our heartache cease,
Is knowing that they’re safe within,

A land of love and peace.
